Turning the page for Charlotte Lutz and Elevage du Pont-Rihen of the Donnay family: At ten years and a few weeks after his first 1m50 Bijou du Pont-Rihen got sold and will take off to America tomorrow!

On advice of Francois Mathy it is indeed current world number one McLain Ward himself who has purchased Bijou for the market in North America. Thus Bijou will walk in the footsteps of Arkos des Rosiers and Evita van het Appelsvoordehof who both went that same way LJH - Mathy - Ward. At this occasion a special thank you to Pedro Renault, working for Mathy Stables, for the always very professional and very friendly cooperation!

During the past five years Charlotte and Patrik Lutz have competed Bijou alternatively, but it is obviously Charlotte to whom belongs the biggest part of the merit! Thanks to her during the last year Bijou has become a safe value on 1m40-45!

Note that nowadays it is extremly rare that a horse of 10 years of age has been ridden by two different riders only and that, even more rare, both these two are out of the same house! Huge thanks to Elevage du Pont-Rihen and its now legendary "Mr. Bijou" Patrick Donnay for all that trust in us, we do really appreciate this a lot!
